On some managed computers, Teams is available through Software Center for Windows and Self Service for Mac. Individuals with the ability to install software can download Teams Apps from Microsoft. Teams is available on many Cornell computers as part of Microsoft Office. Skype for Business can still be run to see old conversations. Chatting and instant messaging in Teamsįor web meetings, Zoom is another option.This change occurred because Microsoft is ending all Skype for Business service July 31, 2021. Teams has chat and meeting features similar to Skype for Business's, and also provides group collaboration and file sharing. As of June 30, 2021, members of the Cornell community will not be able to meet, chat, or call someone else at Cornell using Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams is suggested by the app instead.
